So, while i've got some more time on my hands from less hours at work, but still enough with school, I'll try and post up more stuff for the comic my mutual Collaborator and I are working on. In addition to inking the stuff I've already put up here. Cuz those are done enough that I think I should make them look nicer.

Maybe if I'm feeling really rabid for it, I'll color them.

Contrary to the assumtion that working at a movie theater means you'll be watching every damn movie that comes in, depending on how much you can stand the place after you've worked there long enough (a couple weeks should make you hate your job, but not neccisarily your co-workers) you may not see much.

Still, while I can't stand to be at my place of work long after I finish a shift, hell I usually bolt after I'm done, but I just watched a movie I've seen jump from small stuff to biggest shit in town. If you've heard from a friend or someone else you know that Slumdog Millionaire is a damn good movie, you've heard right.

I was interested in it when I read the little synopsis we have in the box office for folks who can't fucking decide what they wanna see. It was in a small theater and I figured that I can just walk in and watch it at my leisure since it was gonna be there for maybe 2 weeks and not many would see it. At first not many did, but then like brush fire, all it needed was a little breeze to start it up. More and more people kept coming in and it eventually got moved to one of our biggest theaters.

I've seen tons of people coming in for it, and over the course of it being in, people would constantly ask about it, and me not having seen it, could only say; 'lots of people have been coming to that one.'

So I now just saw it, and DAMN is it good! Its a sad movie yeah, but fuck is it just good at telling a story! I won't spoil anything for you, but I'll say that it starts by a guy who's on who wants to be a millionaire and is one question away from winning. He's then questioned by the police because they believe he's cheating, but as they question him, you're invited to a story that isn't about winning millions of money or being more famous than anybody can believe for where you've come from(the streets for our boy here) but about the journey that took him there. And this ones deep. I can't really begin to explain it without spoiling it for you, but its one that'll just suck you in from the moment you're past the credits.

Its been a while that i've seen a movie like this, and this one about a young mans life in India is fucking fantastic. If anyone hasn't seen this yet, get on it.

So I picked this game up when it came out, with a reservation and I beat it 3 days later. Its a great game, though some say its not as hard as the others. Well, that is true, but this game flows in its entirety than any of the others i've played and really feels like a story, or at least part of, from the 1001 nights.

The way the Narrative and the Gameplay compliment each other is amazing, and I really got sucked in from the moment I first picked up the controls. I won't spoil any of the ending, at all, since that's not within me. But I will say, this one finishes of very nicely and does some rather cool things not many games, if any, have done at all.

Graphically, i've been waiting for a game to do this. None of this hyper realistic bullshit, because its CG we need to make it look realistic. This game just looks gorgeous and while many people have said they don't like backtracking in the game, I don't mind with how amazing it looks. Graphics don't matter that much to me, but in this respect, since they've done something nobody else has really done, its something to talk about.

So that's my slurge on one of my three remaining fanboy obsessions in this world.

Now I just need a game this cool for Red Sonja and Zorro and i'll be set.

So, I've been kinda sluggish in most of my shit for a while now, and I'm kinda feelin' like its gone of for too long already. So, I'll start to kick shit in gear again. I don't know how much I'll be posting stuff up here, cuz that'll depend on how busy I'll be getting, but I'll do what I can.

Along with that, I'll try to put up anything related to a webcomic a homey of mine and I are putting together.

So I just got a new computer and i've been working things out so that this will be my new base computer and not my laptop. So, after I get a few things in that I need done, I'll start posting up some stuff.

In case you where wondering what kind of change over stuff i've been doing, I transfered about 15 gigs of music from my laptop to my new desktop. Yeah, its been a bit like that...

But I haven't been able to come on because of school. Particularly cuz of finals. That fucking word. Anyway, this is my last week of this quarter, so after friday, I can start posting shit up that i've been doing. Well, mostly class work, but you get the idea.

Also, lighting for a sunset scene is a fuckin' bitch.

Now I really like comics and I like that movie adaptations are getting much better(batman, ironman, hulk, hellboy) but still, this is one of those Iconic graphic novels that will be hard to adapt. Like anything from Alan Moore, its tough to fit in all the information that he puts into his works, so this one may fail to please fans just on that portion all together.

I'm sure it'll be an entertaining movie, but I still don't know how it'll be since we won't be able to tell till it comes out. All we gotta do though, is wait till '09.


More than likely, it'll be a part of the summer  line up of movies.

Also, to let you guys know, it does get pretty raunchy with its inuendo's at the end. They're pretty much blatant, but still funny.

So from what i've been seeing in the comics lately, is that they may finally be ready to have Bruce Wayne hand over the mantle of Batman the only way they know how... To kill him off.

Course this isn't without some merrit, apparently  a friend of mine has told me that they are going to make the 'holy trinity' of the DC heroes into the New Gods. Which is really cool if you think about it. I like it a lot as it is more progressive to me. Having the same guys in what looks to be a constant continuity for so many years seems rediculous. At least the Flash has had different people hold the title.

But anyway, as for who will take up the cape and cowl of Batman, there is one possibility that seems in a way logical, but in another totally fucking awesome.

Dick Grayson won't take over, as he's made Nightwing his own persona, to step out of the shadow of Batman. So taking over for Bruce would be counter productive, and anyone saying otherwise is lying to themselves because they're stuck in roughly 50-60 years of the past.

Tim Wayne(Drake) is too young to take over the mantle, so he'll still be Robin, which he is cool at. And Bruce's only biological son, Damian, also falls into the same slump of being too young. So who's left?

The lost protoge of Batman, Jason Todd. The one that seemingly got killed by the Joker and came back as the Red Hood and killing bad guys Punisher style? Yeah, that sounds really fucking great. Already, he said to Bruce that he wanted to do his job better than him, and he's been just roaming around only getting an eventual part in 52 and its aftermath series for a hot minute. So this seems like a good idea to me. Also because it's going against so many other things people would expect and because the whole of Bruce Wayne's end is being written by Grant 'A firey cocktail of absenth and crack' Morrison. I can't wait, Batman is one of my favorite characters and I'm anxious to see how Jason would handle the role given his beef, and if DC is really going to go with him.

I just hope they don't screw up Dick Grayson and just throw him in as Batman eventually or age Tim so that he can take over. Either of those would be really fucking lame.

So I just hear from my Mom, that my sister-in-law called and said that the Red Cross came to her and told her that; 3 of my brothers soldiers where killed in action, while 2 more where injured. But that he's fine.

We think they did that, cuz they don't do that at all, because Eric hasn't had a chance or opportunity to contact us, and this was the only way to keep us at ease.

The big thing about this is, that his heads not in the fight.

My father passed away this last April, and he was stuck in Germany without any way to come home. The last unit he was in got disbanded because the base they were at was closed. But before it closed, he was overcharged on his leave time. So when my Dad passed away, he couldn't come back even WITH fucking Red Cross emergency, because; 1) the unit no longer exists, 2) the guy that he COULD go to, hate him for making him look like an idiot(asshole was standing up during a fire fight, and my brother saved his life by knocking him down so his head wouldn't catch a bullet), and 3) all the fucking suits that are 'organizing' the military have set it up like this now. So he's out there, without any way to deal with our Fathers death, in a fight with all green soldiers because no one else wants to be there, and he can't do a goddamn thing about it.

I want to do so many horrible things to those old crackish fuckers that it ain't funny. But for now, I just need to focus on what I need to take care of, and see what other things we can do to start making the government see that we cannot stay there in that country.

We've fucked it up more than it already was, and the conflict there is religious, which means we have no way of ever resolving it. Best thing to do... let them fight it out. Saves so many more of our peoples lives. I'm just gonna pray for my brother, that he keeps his head cool and on what he needs now.

Well, after going through some crazy shit this year, and with all the school i've been doing, imma take a little week off in my other town San Francisco. Well... I'll be crashing in Oakland, but i'll be spendin' a lot of time up there in the city.

Any of you folks that don't know about this and are gonna be around in about a week, i'll try ta hit ya up if ya got time.

Got one more week of fucking classes and then its vacation time for Dave. Thank God.

This band rocks and I love the atmosphere they have. Also, the frontwoman has a badass voice.

Okay, so I just saw Nightwish tonight(Friday March 23) and DAMN! They kicked ass!

Anette did a great job singing, and the rest of the bad where so much fun! There was one hilarious and awesome point at which Emppu, the guitarist, held out his guitar with his hand on the frets, and had an audience member strum the guitar during a song!! That's just damn cool. Marco was also a lot of fun, he had a great sense of humor. He called Jaggermeister Moose juice, or something to that effect.

At the end of the show they went around shaking peoples hands from the stage, and then came together to do a bow. How cool is it so see a band so high spirited like that!? I really loved this show, and i'll be waiting to see them again next time they come around in the states.

And yes, they played Wishmaster. Amazing.

So my sister-in-law flew over from Germany about a week ago now to visit us, and she is awesome. She's told me so many wild stories about all the crazy assed drinks they got over there, mainly, the BIG Muthafuckin' Towers of alcohol. And the buckets of beer. ...oh the buckets. Think about that! A whole fuckin' BUCKET! OF BEER! Fantastic.

Aside from that, just the stories about my brother that make me laugh to no end are great. He acts all tough, but he's a real sap. I make no point of hiding that, cuz I can't and i'm not one to be something i'm not. Being strange, like all artists are suits me fine. Also, she's the most hostile to him i've ever seen, or heard rather of all the women he's ever been with. Which rocks. Cuz that's ENDLESS entertainment for me!

In short, its been great having her here. We've been able to show some of the things that the U.S. is like, and Cali. She says that San Diego is hotter than she's used to, but thats because it don't get that cold here, and its pretty much spring and summer here all the time.

Haven't taken her to Disney land yet, cuz my brother's been deployed so... she wants to wait till he gets back. Which is perfectly fine. We can still try to take her to the SD Zoo. World renound!

So for a while now I've been really having an urge to start learning how to play the drums. I know a couple good brands to go with for starting out, and I know from folks who've played them that it'll take time and it won't be easy, but I wanna  try. Mostly because I think it'll be fun, but also because I've found that I really listen to the drum beats a lot when listening to metal anymore.

I only have on problem.... I have nowhere to put the set once I get it. I know it'll cost me around 3-4 hundred bucks, but that's not much of an issue. Mostly, its that I won't have space to put them, let alone play them. So, I'll need to figure out a way to solve this little dilema. Anybody can make suggestions, it may prove useful.

Okay, so i've been tagged, and must abide by the rules set before me. ...Well I don't HAAVE to, but I'll do it anyway to get a sense of satisfaction in revenge. Inaddvertantly.

2) I'm a HUGE fan of Danny Kay. If you don't know who he is, he's an actor from the 40's-50's. Really great comedic actor.

3) I used to wear Cowboy boots as a kid ALL THE TIME. You could hardly get to STOP wearing them. Until they where worn out and I couldn't wear them anymore. I don't know what it was, I just liked them.

4) I used to go to Catholic school were my best friend and I used to kick a ball over the wall to a CEMETARY, next to our school, hop over the wall to get the ball back, but stay there all recess. Then we'd have to Solid Snake style sneak back in. Didn't work all the time though and Nun's got pissed. NEVER, EVER piss off a Nun. They give no mercy.

5) I got bag snatched once when I was... 8, 9? I think so. But the real sad part of it was.... I was dressed as a NINJA, of all things! you'd think that maybe I could have at least thrown a piece of dog shit at the fuckers head, but no. Just spun around on fell on my face. I think shame hit me more than anything. The shame of being an inept ninja. Maybe if I was Luigi it wouldn't be as bad....

6) I used to mess with a friend of mine, saying that I hated musical's, cuz he's a total queen for them, but most of the movies I remember that I loved as a kid where musicals. I just wanted to mess with him, and then show him some old movies that where musicals and just laugh at him. Never could find any of them though, they're hard to find....

7) I'm Irish/Mexican, but people still think I'm Italian. One day I think I'll learn Italian and see if it gets me a free lunch.

8) I've been told, that I look like Dustin Hoffman(in his early years), Al Pacino(in his early years), Gilligan(I have no fucking clue), and like a 70's porn star(I think one girl at work is really perverted, or horny). Yay me.

So I'll be starting the next quarter of school tomorrow. Should be fun, I have 3D principals and World Civ which I think will be fun. Mostly the world Civ. After that, I'll try and see if I can track down any open internships anywhere. I really need to get on that sooner than later.

Also, i've started to see where certain obsessions I have lie.

For one, I love Femme Fatals. I don't know exactly what it is, but I really love seeing women battling crazy shit and kicking ass. There's something fun about seeing a woman doing some crazy shit that you'd normally see men doing, and it makes for great entertainment. Also, if you do that kind of work, then you have another great target audience interested in you work. Women. Cuz they'll all go see what ever it is with their girlfriends and they their boyfriends. Who shouldn't have a problem watching a woman run around kicking ass, and getting all sweaty. Cuz lets face it, if it works for women to see that in men, then it works the opposite way as well. We're simple, what can I say?

Also tied to this, I love a good booty. I'm not entirely sure where this came from, but its become a fetish of mine, which has spawned me joining a club all dedicated to worship of them. Besides, I like to draw them and make them look good. Hell, even on men. Gotta have somethin for the ladies to look at, right?

Also tied into this, is that I love to look up things on other cultures. I'm obsessed with looking up new things about other cultures that are interesting, because its not what I normally see, and everyone is always curious and in awe of the unknown. This also makes me think of what kind of food other cultures have, but that's because I'm a human garbage disposal. But along with that, I love to see the kind of people that come from other cultures, and how they look. I think it makes for great versatility to be able to draw someone from another culture, especially if that's where you're drawing inspiration from, for a particular project you're doing. Besides, dark skin is sexy. And folks with darker skin, tend to have nicer asses. You can't argue that. Its just a fact. You just have to accept that, and that you want to hook up with these folks. I do.

Anyway, I just wanted to do a rant about shit that's a part of me, and not sound dreary. Here, i'm shooting more for nerdy, artistic and perverted. Cuz I am.

So My brother is getting married across the globe this week, and i'm here working on finals after my grandmother died a few days ago and other family problems at home. This has been a messed up start to the year...

I'd talk more at length about certain things, but I should be finishing my work, and I don't like to talk about shit too much until after its been resolved. Well, to people who aren't directly involved anyway.

I just needed to write this down somewhere to 'get it off my chest'.

In my own juvenile understanding of photoshop, I did a few digital paintings, but at a low resolution.So all the drawings I just did had crappy brush strokes in part also because of this. Fuck.
